The Israeli airline Arkia will soon operate direct flights to Sri Lanka, and in light of the fact that these are relatively long flights, the company decided to make certain changes to one of its planes - and offer a premium class.
The premium seats will be placed at the front of the plane, but will not differ from the existing seats in terms of seat tilt or legroom that exist today.
The passengers who upgrade a class will sit in the front seats of the plane, with the middle seat among the three remaining empty.
Austrian or Brussels planes from Israel, for example, offer a similar service, which they define as business class.
Arkia's premium class will have a curtain that will separate the first rows from the back of the plane, so that class passengers can enter the lounges before flights and go through a quick and separate check-in.
Barakie will also offer alcohol and various meals to the passengers of the class.

How much will it cost?
The starting price for upgrading the flights is 300 dollars one way.
The duration of the flight will be about 12 hours, including a refueling stop in Seychelles, and the ticket price starts at about 900 dollars per person, before the upgrade.
It is important to emphasize that the flights to Sri Lanka, which will start on February 6, will go through Seychelles, with a refueling stop of about 45 minutes.
The flights will be made on the company's Airbus 321 planes.
Ahead of Passover, Arkia is expected to increase the frequency of flights to Sri Lanka to two flights a week, according to the company's VP of Commercial Mike Humotsani.
