At the meeting, he clarified that he had instructed the Shavas ombudsman to quickly advance an amendment to the prison ordinance, so that, similar to the Israel Police, and as befits a security body, the organization's senior officers and those in sensitive positions will undergo occupational suitability tests that include a polygraph as a guarantee of purity of character and the public's trust in its employees.
He also decided that Iran Nahun will return to serve as the prison service's ombudsman, after he was suspended from his position following a conflict that broke out between him and the outgoing SHB commissioner.
