Miesbach – The Miesbach care base is intended to be a competence center and interface for various care offerings and provide an overview for relatives.

When a relative needs care, there is a lot to organize.

And above all, good advice is necessary.

In the future, the Miesbach nursing base will offer this as a competence center and interface for the various offers.

The district council decided to build it in the middle of last year, and the contracts have now been signed, according to the district office.

“Comprehensive, free advice”

District Administrator Olaf von Löwis, District Council President Thomas Schwarzenberger and Wolfgang Morlang, Director of AOK Bayern, recently signed the document in the district office.

“This care base marks a milestone,” says von Löwis happily.

“It offers comprehensive, free advice and support for people who are confronted with the issue of care.”

At the Miesbach care base, there is cross-agency collaboration that enables individual advice and support and, according to the district office, particular emphasis is placed on neutrality, independence and discretion.

“We are proud to contribute to the creation of this contact point in order to support the citizens of the region in challenging times,” explains Klaus Stierstorfer, who is responsible for the care department in the district office and thus also for care and facilities for the disabled .

Information about funding and benefits

Those affected can now find out about funding options at the care support center at the district office, for example, they receive application forms and can also find advice from the care insurance companies there.

At the care base, the entire range of services for those in need of care are coordinated and the offerings are networked locally and in the region.

“At the Miesbach care base, citizens will receive advice from a single source.

“People find an open ear for their concerns and needs here,” said District Council President Thomas Schwarzenberger, emphasizing the importance of independent advice.

The district contributes financially and with weekly consultation days, probably from summer onwards, to social services in the area of care and integration assistance for people with disabilities.

Two-thirds of the costs for the care base are borne by the nursing and health insurance companies, with the district and district sharing one third at around 30,000 euros each.

“We are very much looking forward to working together, as we can now bring together and bundle the skills and advice offered by various local actors for the benefit of those affected,” explained AOK director Wolfgang Morlang.
