The pizzeria at the sports field closes at the end of January.

There is still no successor for the sports restaurant and the apartment above it in sight.

Lengdorf

– The restaurant at the FC Lengdorf sports field is getting a new landlord.

At the end of this month, the pizzeria La Fenice run by the two Italian brothers Greco, who have been running the sports restaurant for three years, will close.

The new inn could open on March 1, 2024.

FC Lengdorf has already received some applications, says chairman Thomas Obermaier.

La Fenice had pizzas and pasta as well as a pick-up service.

For family and financial reasons, the two brothers, who live in the apartment with their family, are now quitting.

As early as March, the new landlord could move into the restaurant and the large apartment, which will then be available.

Until someone suitable is found - even if that takes until April - the club itself is covering the catering, explains Dietmar Fischer, deputy head of the football department.

The FC then serves drinks and offers snacks during the games.

Whether it's Italian, Greek or Bavarian cuisine - it doesn't matter to the Lengdorf club.

The FC is looking forward to a new, committed host.

“Ideally, they also have a thing for sports and football and pay attention to good service,” says Fischer.

Because La Fenice was not open for all football games and events.

“We could have done more with it,” says Fischer.

You can sit nicely on the restaurant's terrace in the evening.

There is also a cycle path that runs past the football field, “you could easily offer ice cream, coffee and cake there”.

It's not difficult for an innkeeper to win over guests here: "The regular guests are there anyway, without you having to do a lot of advertising," says Fischer.

Who will take over the sports restaurant will be revealed in the coming weeks.
