Under great security precautions, the assassin was brought from Halle to the Magdeburg regional court, where he is to be tried for taking hostages in Burg prison.

The 32-year-old was brought to court on Thursday from the Raßnitz youth center in the Saale district by helicopter and with officers from a special correctional unit.
