The Schwaben Children's Aid Fund market is always happy to receive donations.
This time from the homeowners organized as a club.
Markt Schwaben -
In the run-up to Christmas, homeowners from Markt Schwaben and the surrounding area once again invited people to the annual Advent meeting.
Almost 50 visitors came together in the heated club tent with mulled wine, punch, grilled sausage and Christmas cookies and spent a cozy evening together.
A custom that the club has maintained for many years.
Thanks to the numerous helpers during setup, dismantling and implementation, it was once again a successful celebration for everyone involved.
Like every year, the Advent meeting was used to support a social institution in Markt Schwaben.
This time the “Help for Market Swabian Children in Need” fund was to receive a donation.
In his short speech, club board member Christian Aufhauser explained the purpose of the evening's donations and asked for generous donations.
During the event and through transfers to the donation account, the new record sum of 1,000 euros was raised as a donation amount.
Aufhauser reported on the sidelines of the symbolic check handover on Wednesday in the meeting room of the town hall that so much had never come together at previous Advent events for settlers and homeowners.
Never before have so many donations been collected at the Advent celebration
The board would especially like to thank all donors for this sign of solidarity with all those in need.
The donation was handed over on behalf of Mayor Michael Stolze, community youth worker Angela Freise (head of department in the town hall) and the co-founder of the aid fund, EZ editor Jörg Domke.
On behalf of the children in need, they warmly thanked the homeowners for their social commitment.
The donation will be well used to continue to provide unbureaucratic and targeted support to children from Markt Schwaben in need of help in an emergency, it said.
