There is a constant rain and gusts of wind warning (warning level 2) for the slightly flatter areas near the Alps.

The DWD warns of gusts of wind (warning level 1) in almost all of Bavaria.

Storm squalls, which are warned of at level 2, are again in the north-east of the Free State, as well as in the east, where there are even warnings of “severe squalls” again from a height of 1,000 meters.

Most of these DWD warnings end during the evening.

Weather in Bavaria: Up to 30 centimeters of fresh snow

While the wind is expected to weaken in large parts of Bavaria on Thursday night, squalls can still be expected in the Bavarian Forest and the Alps over the course of the day, and severe squalls can be expected on the high peaks.

In the Alps above 1,500 meters, the DWD expects fresh snow of between ten and 30 centimeters until Friday night, and it may also snow east of the Inn during Thursday.

However, it is expected to rain on the edge of the Alps, in Swabia and in Upper Bavaria.

According to the Flood Intelligence Service (HND), the slight flooding of the rivers in Franconia is expected to recede on Thursday.

On the upper Altmühl and the Saale the water level stagnates on Wednesday within reporting level 1, on the lower reaches of the Aisch and on the Itz reporting level 2 can be reached. This can lead to flooding of agricultural and forestry areas and slight traffic disruptions on main traffic and Community roads come.

On Thursday night, due to the thaw, there is still a small risk of small outbursts in the eastern low mountain ranges.
