The BRK Availability Market Swabia provides essential services for the general public.
She now presented the figures for 2023.
Markt Schwaben
- The first standby evening of the BRK Readiness Market Schwaben is traditionally used for a brief look at the past year, at numbers and pictures to inform all members and for an outlook on the new year.
After a short photo review that once again recalled the most important services, exercises, etc., impressive figures and facts were presented again this year.
Last year, the Markt Schwaben Red Cross members were able to complete a total of 12,925 hours of help (for comparison, 2022: around 8,500 hours), during which the volunteers were actively serving the population.
Most of these hours were completed in the medical service (2,374, in 80 medical guard services), as well as in training and further education (4,623).
The number of members was particularly impressive.
As of today, there are 137 volunteers who are on standby.
For comparison: in 2019 the stand had 45 members.
Within four years, the number of members has tripled, despite the corona pandemic and other difficult circumstances.
Membership has tripled
The “on-site helper” Markt Schwaben was able to provide first aid effectively and quickly in 89 cases in and around Markt Schwaben in 2023.
The volunteers worked for a total of 248 hours.
During the course of the evening, a tribute to deserving contributors was made up that could not take place at the Christmas party in December.
The BRK Markt Schwaben drew attention to all long-standing members who were honored by the district emergency management in 2023 for special services.
Thanks went to the following members: Anneli Krackl for five years of service, Horst Lauber for 25 years of service, Dr.
Georg Holley for 45 years of service, Monika Antl-Rattenhuber for 45 years of service and Herbert Pötzl for 55 years of service.
Thanks to loyal and long-time colleagues
On-call manager Anno Haase also thanked the on-call team, which now has 16 helpers, for the numerous support.
At the same time, he was able to appoint several new officials for the current electoral period.
Of course, a lot is already planned for the new year 2024, including a larger disaster control exercise by the Ebersberg district association in the northern district in the fall and some medical guard services, community events and much more.
According to Haase, the entire on-call management was proud to see what the on-call team was able to achieve last year.
