The Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ron Huldai:

"Tel Aviv-Yafo, as you know, was planned and established as a city of gardens.

Indeed, it has many beautiful, incredibly green Hamed corners, while at the same time one of the areas we emphasize is the expansion of the city's green lung pool and the opening of more and more new public spaces for the use of the city's residents and visitors.

Park Promenade - Tel Baruch Beach

After years of work and investment, the boardwalk in the coastal park was opened to the public about four months ago.

The boardwalk, which is located between Tel Baruch beach to the south and the cliff beach to the north and is about two kilometers long, constitutes the missing section linking the sequence of the coastal boardwalk from Bat Yam to Herzliya.

The coastal park promenade is the first phase of a 500 dunam nature park that allows the public access to an impressive coastal kurkar ridge, providing a unique experience of spectacular landscapes with a view of the coastline and an encounter with local flora and fauna.

The boardwalk has another important role, being a place of refuge and peace for residents from the busy city life.

These days, the municipality is also working on establishing a visitor center, which will be built on an area that was previously used as a military base.

Reading Park - The Lighthouse

The park, which is located on Rehavam Zeevi Street at the intersection of the Reading Promenade and the Western Reading Park adjacent to the Electric Company mooring, is the first step in the development of the old fuel tank complex, which will later become a unique entertainment center.

In the park, 84 trees were planted, about 20 colorful pergolas and dozens of benches were installed, and these create an inviting, shaded space with grassy spaces with maximum climatic comfort.

For those looking to sit down for coffee and a sandwich in front of the most beautiful view in the city, one of the perfect places for a picnic.

The container complex, in an area of 12 dunams, is an area of an industrial nature which for years was better known as an operational area adjacent to the Reading Promenade.

Redding Park, which is clearly visible to those walking on the Redding Bridge from the direction of Tel Aviv Port, is a move created as part of an overall urban concept of developing a continuous, accessible, inviting and full of experiences coastline.

A community center for water sports in place of the old dolphinarium building

This is the first community water sports center in Israel and in the world that is owned by a city.

The center emphasizes the city's vision to lead a maritime culture, to serve as a significant anchor in our effort to bring the natural resource that the city is blessed with - the sea - closer to the residents.

The project, which includes a beach park and beach regulation for marine and coastal activities, was built as part of the city's vision to create a sequence of promenades along the Tel Aviv coast - from Herzliya in the north to Bat Yam in the south.

The area of Aviv beach was expanded by 7,500 square meters and the beach strip was expanded from 20 m to 85 m and it is surrounded by seating areas and seating tribunes for viewing and resting with 5 large shading pergolas, 2 of which are accessible. In addition, and in order to take advantage of the Tel Aviv sun , a state-of-the-art solar panel system was installed on the center, as part of the municipality's commitment to install solar systems on most of the city's public buildings.

Those who are less interested in surfing or lounging on the sand, will find in the nearby park area pedestrian paths, 29 benches, 34 lounging seats, 5 seating systems A bar, 13 umbrellas and shade sails, games facilities and a facility for skaters - unique pump-track sports facilities in an area of approximately 3.5 dunams.

The Dolphinarium monument, erected in memory of the murderous suicide attack that claimed the lives of 21 young men and women in June 2001, was moved a short distance from the site and was combined with a paved and shaded seating area

The groves park in the south of the city

These days, the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Jaffa completed another phase in the expansion of the Groves Park - the central urban nature site of the south of the city.

As part of the park's expansion and renewal, green community spaces, a sand and water play facility, a play area for toddlers, a dog park, new lawns and an ecological pool were added.

Also, 225 new trees were planted on the spot and the old ficus trees from the light rail construction area were moved to the park, the lighting was upgraded and the new sculpture of the artist Ohad Marumi - "Firstborns" - was placed.

The Groves Park", which is located in the Neve Ofer neighborhood, in the area between the Kiryat Shalom neighborhood in the east, Herzl Street in the west, Kibbutz Galyot Street in the north and Ben-Zvi Road in the south, was opened to the public in the summer of 2013 and is one of the largest and most popular parks in Tel Aviv-Yafo.

Moza orchard

A spacious orchard that covers an area of approximately 90 dunams and deepens the physical and spiritual connection between the Land of Israel Museum and the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa and the general public.

The orchard is located in the western area of the museum, where the opening of the museum spaces to the public expresses its being a social-cultural institution that is an integral part of the fabric of urban life.

Being an integral part of Moza, the orchard was designed to the highest standard, with great attention to detail. In its grounds, visitors enjoy an ecological pond, a restored textile mill and flour mill, a planetarium, a sundial square, and a host of archaeological exhibits from the museum's collections

. ) invites you to stroll through the parts of the orchard, and scattered along them are hundreds of places to sit, lawns, intimate and cool shady corners, cool water taps, vine groves, mulberry trees and soft enveloping vegetation.

Ron Huldai - "Tel Aviv-Jaffa, as you know, was planned and established as a garden city"/official website, Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality Spokesperson

The Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ron Huldai: "Tel Aviv-Yafo, as you know, was planned and established as a garden city. Indeed, it has many beautiful, incredibly green corners, while at the same time one of the areas we emphasize is expanding the city's green lungs and opening More and more new public spaces for the public use of residents and visitors to the city.

For example, the projects of expanding the Park of the Groves, which is the most significant green space in the south of the city, and the establishment of a museum garden, which brings with it the perception that culture and art are a central part of the life of the city, and therefore both must exist in its public spaces, and not only within the institutions and buildings themselves.

At the same time, we completed the urban vision of a series of promenades that allow walking, running and cycling from the border of Herzliya in the north to the border of Bat Yam in the south.

An open, unobstructed view of the sea was one of the first goals I set for myself when I took office and it was realized with the opening of the public spaces we have along the coast;

The coastal park boardwalk, Redding Park and the community center for water sports, which are added to the central beach boardwalk that was renovated several years ago, to the renovated Jaffa port and the Jaffa Slope Park, which was transformed from a site of construction waste and garbage into a green park overlooking the wonderful sea of Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

I invite all residents of the city - come to parks and gardens throughout the city with your children, friends or family for a picnic, recreation, physical activity or just to relax."
