On the night of June 24 to 25, 2022, Noé Guez, 16, was fatally struck by a driver on the road from Grasse, to Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes).
Grégory P., 42, was arrested immediately and tested positive for cocaine and ecstasy.
Indicted for “manslaughter” and placed in pre-trial detention on June 27, the latter was released on bail and placed under judicial supervision on September 5, two months after the events.
A double punishment for Théo's parents.

A little over a year after the tragedy and while he had not yet been judged, the accused was once again in the news.
On the morning of September 29, 2023, he was stopped at the wheel of a vehicle in Villeneuve-Loubet even though he was strictly prohibited from taking the road.
Worse, a drug test came back positive... for cocaine.
His judicial supervision was immediately revoked and he was remanded to the Grasse remand center pending his trial.

New affront
However, it is as a free man that he should present himself to the criminal court on February 14.
And for good reason, the latter was released on parole a few days ago, as
Le Figaro
learned from the Grasse public prosecutor's office on Friday, confirming information from
France Bleu Azur
.
“By decision of the Court of Cassation noting a procedural error, the person indicted in the case concerning Noé Guez was released
,” explains the prosecutor’s office.

A decision that is barely believable given the profile of the person concerned.
And above all, yet another suffering for the teenager's parents, two weeks before a hearing that they await with anxiety and impatience.
“It’s violent and incomprehensible.
He mistook prison for a vacation club.
How can we put a repeat offender out?
“It’s a lack of respect for our son and our family
,” laments Yvon Guez.
Noah's father says he is tired today.
“We have to put an end to it, we don’t sleep anymore at night, it’s no longer possible.
I take blows and blame but for my wife and my daughter, it is much more difficult,” he insists.
