The summary judge of the Nice administrative court has, once again, ruled that the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, Hugues Moutouh, is wrong.
On Friday, he suspended the ban issued by the state representative on January 19 on the broadcast of a documentary honoring Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
“The prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, by prohibiting the screening of the debate in dispute, has caused a serious and manifestly illegal attack on freedoms of expression and assembly

The latter says it defends “alternative information” and recognizes itself in particular in the ideas of the far-right Franco-Swiss essayist Alain Soral.

On X, Hugues Moutouh still announced at the end of the day his intention to appeal the judgment rendered during the morning.
“The screening of the documentary on Soleimani and the organized conference constitute, especially in the current context, a serious incitement to hatred and discrimination
,” he wrote.
