Uninvited guest on board: On the flight from Bangkok to Phuket, a snake suddenly snakes its way through the luggage rack.
Munich – Flying alone causes many people to panic.
Fear of heights, the feeling of being at the mercy of others, unpleasant experiences in the air, spatial confinement – the list is long.
But during the flight from Bangkok to the Thai island of Phuket there was another reason that caused sweating, restlessness and screaming.
In addition to the passengers of the “Air Asia” flight FD3015, there was another uninvited guest on board: a snake.

Snake in the overhead compartment: “Thought there might be another one on the plane”
As seen in a TikTok video, the reptile crawled out of the overhead compartment during the flight.
The snake itself was around 60 centimeters long and was later identified as a snake that was harmless to humans.
A flight attendant tried to herd the snake into a trash bag with an empty plastic bottle.
When this succeeded, she was locked away for the rest of the flight.
The shock among the passengers was deep: “Every time I felt something, I jumped because I thought there could be another one on the plane,” reported a British holidaymaker.
After landing, the plane was examined for additional reptiles - nothing was found.

How does a snake get on a plane?
Reptile smuggling is suspected
But how did the snake get on the plane in the first place?
The airport security concept is becoming more and more sophisticated and detailed.
Two variants are possible: on the one hand, reptile smuggling is a problem in Southeast Asia, as
sz.de
reported.
The rarer and more protected the species, the higher the price.
Last year, a live albino alligator was found wrapped in cling film at Munich Airport.
The passenger wanted to smuggle the reptile into Singapore.
According to the sanctuary, the value of a white alligator is $50,000 to $70,000.
