British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak today (Friday) made an unusual statement against one of the anti-Israel protest slogans and called those who use it "useful idiots".
"Those who read 'from the river to the sea' are either useful idiots or those who do not understand what they are saying, or worse, people who serve to erase the Jewish state from the map," said the Prime Minister during a gathering of the Conservative Coalition for Israel in Parliament.
"We have zero patience for those who promote or glorify terrorism and spread anti-Semitism in our streets," the Prime Minister said in his speech.
The call "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" is seen as a call for the erasure of the State of Israel because it refers to the entire territory of the Land of Israel and ignores the existence of a Jewish population or its right to sovereignty.
The slogan became very common in demonstrations in the West and many activists and comedians came out to show that a large part of the minds themselves do not understand which river and which sea the call refers to.
