The floating raft for St. Alban will look similar to the one in Aidenried, which is currently overwintering on land.
Here, too, there are plastic pontoons under the wooden cladding for buoyancy.

Dießen - Dießen's water lovers can look forward to the new bathing season: the long-awaited new swimming raft will be put into the Ammersee in the St. Alban leisure area in good time.
Although the market town council had already given its okay for the purchase in May last year, they had to wait for the “water law approval” from the Landsberg district office.
As Mayor Sandra Perzul announced under “Miscellaneous” at the committee’s most recent meeting, she was able to retrieve the ordered bathing raft immediately after receiving the letter.
Including the boarding ladder and anchor chain, the cost of the raft is 12,800 euros net.
However, these are just plastic pontoons as a base, which the building yard will first cover with wooden cladding.
So it's a hybrid raft.
According to the mayor, this was always the case, but some councilors misunderstood it at the time.
Two days after the order was placed, Alliance90/The Greens and the CSU received a request to switch to a complete wooden raft.
Following the administration's recommendation to “let the process proceed as initiated,” the application was rejected by a large majority.
Local councilor Michael Lutzeier (Die PARTEI) immediately took the wind out of the sails of the green plastic aversion.
There are hundreds of plastic SUPs and boats on Lake Ammersee, as well as children with inflatable plastic swimming aids.
There’s no need to “make such a fuss” about the few pontoons.
Especially since you need them as a buoyancy body.
Visually, the new part will look like a wooden raft.
Just like its counterpart on the other side of the lake in the Aidenried leisure area, which was pulled ashore over the winter.
The new raft for St. Alban can only remain in the lake from April to October.
