Close to Remembrance Day, on the mural "Binario 21, The Simpson Jews deported to Auschwitz", the writings "W Hitler" and "Fuck Israel" appeared on the walls of the Shoah Memorial in Milan.
One year after its creation, the work of the artist aleXsandro Palombo was defaced for the fourth time.
The artist had portrayed the Simpson family deported to Nazi concentration camps to tell the story of the before and after the deportation and the horror of the Holocaust.

Anyone who turns their gaze in front of these havoc is complicit in the problem. The latest anti-Semitic insults and those of recent months will remain as testimony and an integral part of the work that will transform this sea of hatred into a tool for raising awareness and awareness against indifference and anti-Semitism."
Sala, I believe the postponement of the pro-Palestine march is inevitable
About the possible postponement of the pro-Palestine demonstration tomorrow also in Milan "I spoke about it with the prefect and he told me that he is aligned with Minister Piantedosi and I can only accept this decision. So I don't want to comment but I think it is inevitable for this period, so that's good."
The mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, said this on the sidelines of a meeting with students at Palazzo Marino, the seat of the Municipality, as part of the Day of Remembrance.
"Tomorrow - added Sala - will still be a delicate day, so I can understand the minister's reasons".
