Highlights: Minister Katz to the UN: "Fire the heads of UNRA" | Israel Hayom. Many of UNRWA's employees are members of Hamas who help it provide shelter for terrorist activities and maintain its rule. The time has come to establish an alternative organization that will not educate generations of Palestinian children in hatred and will not cooperate with Hamas terrorism," MK Yair Lapid tweeted. The UN announced the suspension of the workers following information received from Israel, and the opening of a thorough investigation on its behalf.

Against the background of the information that Israel passed on to the UN about the involvement of UNRA employees in the October massacre, the Foreign Minister wrote: "Many of the employees are members of Hamas, who assist it in providing shelter for terrorist activities."

Foreign Minister Israel Katz demands that the UN fire the heads of UNRA, and immediately open an investigation into the involvement of the organization's employees from Gaza in the Sheva massacre in October.

A series of countries, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Finland, Italy and Great Britain, announced the suspension of funding to UNRWA, after it became clear that some of its employees were suspected of taking part in the terrible massacre on October 7.

Minister Katz noted that "we will not give up and will demand that the events be fully investigated.

The UN should immediately fire the heads of UNRWA and open an independent and transparent investigation into everything that happened in UNRWA-Hamas Gaza. I call on other countries to follow suit. Many of UNRWA's employees are members of Hamas who help it provide shelter for terrorist activities and maintain its rule.

We must make sure that UNRWA will not be part of the day after in Gaza and that other parties will come in its place."
