Stuttgart main station was closed on Sunday due to a police operation.
The situation is under control, but the police are keeping a low profile.
Update 2:50 p.m.:
According to the federal police, three men were “detected and subjected to the necessary police measures” during the operation.

For tactical reasons, a spokesman did not want to say what they were specifically accused of and what made them suspicious.

First report 12.30 p.m.:
Stuttgart - From 11 a.m. there was a standstill at Stuttgart main station.
Train traffic was stopped on Sunday morning due to a police operation and the entire station area was closed.
Because of the rail strike, according to the federal police, there wasn't as much going on as on other Sundays.
Passers-by were asked to avoid the area around the train station.
“The situation is under control,” said a federal police spokesman.
There is no danger for the nearby city center.
The travelers had to wait in front of the train station until the matter was clarified.
Since around 12:20 p.m., train traffic at Stuttgart main station has been reopened.
The federal police reported this on platform X (previously Twitter).
The operational measures have ended.

As our partner portal echo24.de previously reported, the Baden-Württemberg Federal Police Directorate had announced that state police forces had also been called in for reinforcements.
“Suspicious people” had previously been observed in the area of the main train station, which triggered the large-scale operation.
However, a bomb threat can be ruled out, the spokesman continued.
There was no threat, said the spokesman.
The matter is still being clarified; details cannot be communicated at first for tactical reasons.
