The new path will run between Eschborn and Bad Soden as well as Schwalbach.
However, it will still take some time until that happens.
Eschborn/Bad Soden - The feasibility study for the planned cycle highway in the Main-Taunus district is now available.
“This is an important milestone,” said Rouven Kötter from the FrankfurtRhineMain regional association.
The association commissioned the study almost three years ago.
In the next step, the municipalities involved should vote on the results of the study and decide how the project should continue.
According to the information, it can take five to ten years from the planning to the implementation of a cycle highway.
The route planned in the Main-Taunus district should lead from Eschborn to Bad Soden and Schwalbach and be connected to another cycle highway to Frankfurt.
In total it is around ten kilometers long and the estimated construction costs are around 8.2 million euros.
According to the announcement, it could be used by over 2,000 cyclists every day.
