At least three people died after a small plane crashed into a trailer park in Clearwater, Florida, and set fire to homes Thursday night, the Federal Aviation Administration said Friday.
Firefighters responded to the scene of the accident, at the Bayside Waters mobile home park, according to the city's fire chief, Scott Ehlers, during a press conference.
They found four trailer homes on fire, one of which had the crashed plane inside, Ehlers said.
According to the AFA, the pilot reported an engine failure on Thursday around 7:00 p.m., shortly before disappearing from radar near St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.
Minutes later the accident occurred.
