reports , asking "with the utmost urgency that the police proceed to identify all those who performed the Roman salute and that the judiciary open an investigation for violation of the Scelba-Mancino laws".
"In Varese the head of the neo-Nazi association 'Do.Ra.', the Varese militant community of the 'Dodici Raggi', officiated the wedding of a member of the same group with a lady - says the national president of the ANPI, Gianfranco Pagliarulo
- Immediately after the wedding, from the balcony of Palazzo Estense, seat of the Municipality of Varese, the groom, accompanied by his wife, greeted the guests in Roman style, who publicly responded from the garden below with equally Roman greetings. Everyone, including the groom, rigorously dressed in black. There is a limit, not only to the laws in force, but also to constitutional decency, which seems largely exceeded", commented Pagliarulo, who recalled that "the joint criminal sections of the Court of Cassation have recently established that the Roman salute integrates the crime of reconstitution of the fascist party where the conduct during a public demonstration (the Roman salute took place in a public place par excellence, i.e. the Municipality headquarters) is suitable to integrate the concrete danger of reorganization of the dissolved party fascist".
Pagliarulo also asks "why, after the countless demonstrations of a neo-fascist nature and the many judicial misadventures in which the Do.Ra. association has been the protagonist, steps have not yet been taken for its dissolution".
The mayor of Varese: 'Unacceptable, very serious acts'
"What happened at the end of the celebration at Palazzo Estense is unacceptable and I invite the police to clarify what happened, identifying those responsible as soon as possible and initiating the necessary criminal actions"

Thus the mayor of Varese Davide Galimberti (Pd) commented on the wedding with Roman greetings
celebrated by the president of the far-right association Do.Ra.
Alessandro Limido on Saturday at Palazzo Estense in Varese.
"The Municipality of Varese - continued Galimberti - is the greatest place in the city where the values of anti-fascism and freedom find expression, and it absolutely cannot be violated by gestures and slogans that must no longer find space in our society. I am sure that the forces of the order will identify as soon as possible those responsible for these very serious acts which in no way represent our city".
Galimberti specified that "the person who celebrated the marriage, according to the law of our country, had the requirements to officiate it. Indeed, the Municipality carried out further investigative activities because the municipal offices were not satisfied with the simple self-declaration of the requirements. The celebration therefore took place according to what the law establishes and in the presence of law enforcement personnel."
"In recent times - continues the mayor - phenomena of this type are occurring more and more often, as in the last few days in Acca Larentia, and it is therefore fundamental and urgent that, in addition to the condemnations by the democratic community, the political and associative forces , a clear intervention arrives that finally leads to unambiguous guidelines regarding the condemnations of these facts".
