According to his father, he never expressed the desire to have a sex change.

The Buffalo man told the
New York Post
he lost the right to medical care for his son after a seven-year legal battle with his former wife.
The fight began for the former bank vice president when the child's mother began dressing her son in girls' clothes when he was three years old.
Boy or girl?

A girl at home, a boy at father's: mother is said to have hidden her gender change
The boy's father only found out about this later.
Because whenever he picked up his son to spend time with him, he was dressed as a boy.
"I didn't know that when he was with his mother it was a girl called Ruby," the father told the
Daily Mail.
It was only when he received a letter from the school one day that his child was addressed as “Ruby Rose H.” that he says he got wind of it.
His ex-wife took their son to a gender therapist who prescribed puberty blockers, the child's father said.
The son was nine years old at the time.
These blockers stop the physiological sexual maturation.

In 2020, the father went to court in the hope of preventing what he considered to be unnecessary treatment.
“My son was never dissatisfied with his gender,” said the father.
An official diagnosis is also said to have been missing from the doctors.
The trial reportedly cost him $150,000.
He was not given back the right to make decisions about his son's medical matters.
“But I saved my son,” said the 32-year-old.
In the USA, another father took his son to get a manicure because his teacher said it was “only for girls”.
Mother defends herself against father's accusations
A year after the trial, the now 9-year-old son, according to his father, lives happily as a boy: “He has no desire to be a girl.
It was the mother's illusion.
He was forced into it.” Father and son continue to see each other on weekends and a few hours during the week.
And the mother?
“There are two sides to every story,” she told the
New York Post
.
“The number of lies in this story are appalling.
“It’s only the child that’s important here,” she replied to her ex-husband’s accusations.
Meanwhile, there was an “unspeakable drama” in Italy: a trans man there became pregnant – despite hormone therapy.
