Mourning instead of music: Cancer has taken away Amigos star Karl-Heinz's beloved wife Doris.
Brother Bernd is visibly moved.
Munich – The world stands still for the Amigos.
Nothing is the same as it was before.
The Schlager duo is mourning because Karl-Heinz Ulrich (75) lost his beloved wife and brother Bernd lost his sister-in-law.
The 73-year-old has now spoken about his pain.

Doris died at the age of 71 as a result of cancer.
Bernd is devastated.
“There were always four of us.
How much we laughed when we were out and about…” he said to

, and then looked at the empty chair at the dining table.
Doris struggled for two long years after her diagnosis in 2021.
For the benefit of the family member, the pop stars renounced their well-known closeness to the people.
“We haven’t gone to the autograph stand after concerts for two years.
Karl-Heinz just wanted to go home.
Of course people asked.
Doris is sick, we said, nothing more.
And they respected that,” said Bernd.
They did everything they could to keep the illness from becoming public, he continued.
Doris should concentrate “fully” on the therapy.

Unfortunately in vain.
At the end of June 2023, the Amigos appeared on the ZDF TV garden, some of them sick, but now there is no room for Schlager for the time being.
“There are more important things than music now.
Our family supports Karl-Heinz in his grief.
He alone decides when to continue.
I'm sure our fans will fully understand that." The funeral is on February 14th in Villingen.
All dates have been canceled until the end of the month and work on the new album is also on hold.
With their last album “Atlantis will live”, the hit duo set their sights on the top of the charts, but in the end it was “only” enough for the successful musicians to reach second place.
The family was by Doris' side until her death.
Marina, sister of the Amigos, as well as Karl-Heinz and Doris' children were also present when she closed her eyes forever.
“We think she felt that too.
It was also important for us to be by her side until the end.
Unfortunately we had to let her go.
But she is still with us,” said Bernd, whose daughter Daniela Alfinito equaled a record set by Helene Fischer.
