A Tesla driver drove through the roundabout in Taufkirchen with a blood alcohol level of two per mille.
The onboard camera showed his journey in serpentine lines.
Taufkirchen
- The driver drove over the roundabout on Riegerweg and, according to the police, demolished a traffic sign at the retirement home.
He would have liked to continue his journey at 7 a.m. on Sunday, but the front and battery block were destroyed and the car was no longer drivable, the police said.
The driver, in his mid-40s, had driven in serpentine lines from Unterhaching to Taufkirchen; thanks to the car's modern technology, the police officers were able to trace his route on the Tesla's video screen.
The police found a blood alcohol level of two per mille.
The driver's license was confiscated.
The car was a total loss worth around 60,000 euros.
