Educating in art and beauty: "an educational alliance" between schools, culture and the third sector is underway.
This is the objective of an initiative of "Di Bellezzasi vive", a four-year project supported by the social enterprise "Con i Bambini", as part of the Fund to combat child educational poverty which - explain the promoters - can contribute to the establishment of new educational communities effective in combating educational poverty.
The operational strategy is based on the telling of success stories, in order to fuel a virtuous circuit of beautiful and positive experiences.
The Project has experienced how beauty, in the fields of visual art, music, theatre, dance, landscape, care of places, represents an experience capable of extending the potential of individuals from an emotional, cognitive and behavioral point of view.
This project was recently reflected on during a study day at the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art, promoted by UCSIPiemonte and UCSI Nazionale, with the patronage of the FNSI - National Italian Press Federation and the Society of San Vincenzo De Paoli.
On this occasion, attention was focused, in particular, on how to activate new forms of participation and co-planning between schools, culture, in particular museums, the third sector and the world of communication to promote a new educational alliance based on the generative and transformative power of beauty.
Over the course of the project, around 50 experiments based on this principle were carried out which involved families, schools, living spaces, cultural places and digital worlds.
Among these, for example, in Messina, installations inspired by the work of Michelangelo Pistoletto have become the subject of a discussion on climate change and social justice.
In the municipality of Poli, in the province of Rome, a path of education in art as an act of active citizenship was created.
