A
23-year-old
young man bled
to death
this Sunday after being
cut by a glass window that he broke
when he tried to enter an apartment to rob in Reconquista, province of Santa Fe.
The incident occurred in a two-story housing complex located on General Obligado Street at 3300 in the Lorenzón neighborhood, where the authorities found the body of Alan Pereyra, as he was identified.
It was found
in a nearby ditch

The young man, investigators presume and local media Reconquista Hoy reports, had tried to
break into both homes in the area
.
In the lower one he was not successful and it was in the upper one that he suffered the wound that would prove fatal as it caused
considerable blood loss
.
According to the traces of bleeding found by the Investigative Police and the forensics, the young man
would have jumped from the balcony
to try to escape, but died in a ditch a few meters later.
He tried to break into a house, cut himself on the broken glass of a window and bled to death.
The authorities, belonging to Police Station 2, arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. this Sunday after being alerted by
neighbors who heard noises

On the upper floor of the complex, they found
a broken window and traces of blood
, both on the outside of the place and on the
balcony railing

The trail of blood that led to the dead thief
The prosecutor on duty Alejandro Rodríguez ordered Pereyra's body to be subjected to an autopsy.
The inhabitants of the apartments that Pereyra tried to rob testified and confirmed that the intruder
did not manage to take anything
from either apartment.
It was Iván Núñez (19), a resident of the ground floor home, who said that the thief tried to enter his house but
was unsuccessful
.
For his part, Marcelo Ezequiel González (29), also responded negatively about the lack of belongings in his house.
The complex is located a few blocks from the center of the city of Santa Fe, in an
area of low housing
and with visible infrastructure shortcomings.
The front of the house, unpainted and with broken sidewalks without maintenance, has
numerous footprints left by Pereyra's blood
on the floor of its front entrance in his attempt to flee the place.
The images, recorded in a video published by the local press, also show the balcony stained red on its wooden railings and the windows, although it is not clear which glass injured the thief.
