A young man is suspected of killing his parents and brother with a knife.
According to investigators, he should be taken into custody.
Waldshut-Tiengen - The Waldshut-Tiengen public prosecutor's office has applied for an arrest warrant against a 19-year-old who is said to have killed his parents and brother with a knife.
A decision from the local district court is expected on Wednesday, said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office when asked in Waldshut-Tiengen.
According to investigators, the young man with German and Italian citizenship is suspected of having also attacked his sister.
She therefore suffered serious injuries.
According to the police and public prosecutor's office, the suspect is charged with three counts of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter.
Investigators initially did not comment on where exactly the attack took place.
They spoke of an “eastern district community in the Waldshut district”.
According to dpa information, the crime took place in the municipality of Hohentengen, which is located in the extreme south of the country, directly on the border with Switzerland.
