Saudi Arabia will compete for the first time in the
Miss Universe
international beauty pageant
and will be represented by the 27-year-old model Rumy al Qahtani, as she announced in a publication on the social network

The content creator, born in Riyadh, said that the opportunity is "an honor" and noted that "this is Saudi Arabia's first participation in the competition."

Qahtani has already been awarded on other catwalks such as Miss Arab World Peace and
holds the titles of Miss Saudi Arabia

The 73rd Miss Universe pageant will take place on September 28 in
Mexico
and will be the one in which the previous winner, the Nicaraguan Sheynnis Palacios, will crown her successor.
