– How do you turn a school gymnasium into a concert hall?

Anyone who came to the two concerts by the Isen brass band at the weekend experienced it.

As a first-class introduction, the evening began with three pieces by the youth band, with the piece Apollo 11 musically reenacting the mission to the moon.

The moderators Katharina and Franzi Feuerer provided elegant transitions.

Conductor Franz Windshuber can be proud of the more than 20 young people who received much applause.

Then the 64 musicians of the main orchestra took the stage and opened with the concert march “In Vita Optimum”.

Chairman Bernhard Stangl also welcomed four bands from the surrounding area to the almost sold-out premiere on Friday.

With the ten pieces of music performed, the interested listener realized that it was not for nothing that this event had been rehearsed for five months.

Not only was the music first-class, but also the tried-and-tested transition from one piece to another, this time with the two young presenters Tanja Lechner and Lukas Fichtner.

The piece “The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse” stood out.

The four horsemen of the apocalypse were recreated, also with images and other optical effects.

The request here: “Applause at the end,” which was all the clearer for it.

The choir of the Isen brass band (BKI choir) showed their skills with “The Sound of Silence” under the direction of Regina Kellner.

Things are about to get serious in a positive sense with the club, which was founded in 1957, having its own rehearsal home, which has been in the works for decades.

After exploring many other options, things are now “looking better than ever” for building a new rehearsal home.

This will be built in the new commercial area on Haager Strasse starting next year.

Around 100 active musicians need a home for around 100 performances a year.

“Our extensive inventory is currently spread across eight locations,” says Stangl.

He also introduced the audience to a fundraising campaign, without which the financing would not be possible.
