With hats on their heads and saucepans in hand, they left their kitchen to hit the streets.
This Wednesday morning, some 120 students and teachers from the Jean-Drouant high school for hotel and catering professions (17th arrondissement of Paris) demonstrated in front of the headquarters of the Île-de-France regional council in Saint-Ouen ( Seine-Saint-Denis).
With the firm intention of defending the reputation of their almost century-old hotel school which they consider to be threatened.
For several months, students and teachers have been up in arms against the project to move the establishment imposed by the region and the Paris academy.
A two-stage departure which would force this 89-year-old institution to leave its historic premises on rue Médéric to make way for the “Médéric 2024” project.
