Princess Kate came forward with the shocking news of her illness and gave her speech alone.
Now many are wondering: Shouldn't Prince William have been with her?
Windsor – Princess Kate (42) was diagnosed with cancer after her abdominal operation.
The wife of the heir to the British throne, Prince William (41), is undergoing preventive chemotherapy, as she said in a video message published on Friday (March 22).
The diagnosis was a shock for the princess, but no matter how brave the princess may be about the future, on the day she received the news she was sitting alone on the park bench.
Princess Kate only mentioned Prince William once: he was a great source of comfort and reassured her
After the shocking video was published, there was a flood of questions about the princess.
Many social media users found it inexplicable why Kate's husband Prince William wasn't seated next to her in the video.
The fact that Kate chose exactly this time affects him as heir to the throne, father and, above all, as a husband.

Another point may have played a role in the consideration of whether Prince William should be there.
Stacey explains it this way: “Kate was also referring to everyone whose life has been affected by cancer and I think it was important for her to deliver this message on her own to connect with others who have been affected by cancer.
She ended her message with a compassionate note, saying: 'To everyone affected by cancer, no matter what cancer, please do not lose faith or hope.
You are not alone'”.
