Gangs cause five-figure damage when breaking into kindergartens in Bavaria - including in Dachau.

Dachau - A series of burglaries in kindergartens that have kept the Munich police headquarters in suspense since the end of August 2023 now seems to have been solved.

After intensive investigations by Commissariat 52 of the Munich Criminal Police and the Munich I Public Prosecutor's Office, three suspects were identified and arrested, according to the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters.

The series of burglaries began last August and continued into December.

Similar cases were also recorded in Augsburg and Dachau.

Due to the similar approach to the burglaries, Commissariat 52 contacted the local police stations to examine possible connections.

In the course of the investigation, the suspicion against a group of three perpetrators, consisting of two 25-year-olds and a 31-year-old, was confirmed.

One of the 25-year-olds, who lives in Munich, was arrested on December 20th during an attempted break-in at a childcare facility in Trudering/Riem.

After he forced open a window, he was caught by the police in the property and then transferred to a correctional facility on the basis of a different arrest warrant.

He was released again on February 19th.
