After a lull in most regions this Wednesday, more rains arrive at the end of the day in the west of the country.
Thunderstorms will form along the Atlantic from the early evening and will occur overnight.
As this map provided by Météo France shows, some will reach the interior of the country.
But the strongest should concentrate on the hills.

For the moment, the meteorological organization has not triggered an orange alert (level 3 out of 4).
But yellow vigilance (level 2 out of 4) is already in force throughout the western part of the country and extends as far as the Normandy department of Manche.

“Locally virulent storm cells”
Keraunos, the French observatory for tornadoes and violent storms, warns of a risk of “locally virulent storm cells”.
He explains this situation by “sometimes deep convection”, that is to say significant movements of air masses with different temperatures.
These stormy showers should be accompanied by hail and “temporarily intense rain”.
Above all, Keraunos warns of the risks linked to the wind.
Locally, gusts could reach 120 km/h by the sea, around 100 km/h inland.
Keraunos also warns that a low risk of tornadoes exists due to these storms.
The probability is low, but it is not zero.
Finally, while the precipitation will reach the east of the country during the night, the storms which will continue to break out will be confined to the Atlantic coast.
