“Top Chef”
. A show full of twists and turns including, in particular, an unprecedented filming stoppage.

In this episode, the candidates from the two brigades successively faced starred chefs on classic dishes served in Parisian broths. They had to work on the themes of avocado-shrimp, onion soup and leek vinaigrette. At the end of a tough competition, it was finally the orange brigade, led by Hélène Darroze, Stéphanie Le Quellec and Dominique Crenn who finished as the last chance.

Among the candidates present in their team, the leaders choose to send the Belgian Arnaud to compete in this final duel.
“Given the work of our three candidates, we chose that Arnaud would face Pol-Henri today
,” explained Stéphanie Le Quellec.
Arnaud, I think you still have a little bit to prove and we're counting on you to take on Popol brilliantly. »
The youngest in the competition, aged 19, competes, in fact, against Pol-Henri, also from the flat country, chosen as the second solitary candidate during the first episode. During this challenge, the latter, nicknamed “Popol”, must try to do better than Arnaud in order to steal his headlines and be able to enter the competition in the orange brigade.

Stéphane Rotenberg then announces the imposed theme: crème brûlée. An instruction that seems to satisfy Popol.
“It’s really a relief because I know crème brûlée and I have a crazy idea in my head
,” he says. Behind his work surface, Pol-Henri jumps up and down impatiently, which the host who launches the hostilities does not fail to point out:
“Gentlemen, I wish you good luck. 3-2-1, here we go! »
“You entered the wrong way. It’s normal, it’s a first…”

Pol-Henri then takes off like an arrow... but not in the right direction! While Arnaud rushed towards the pantry, Popol, in fact, headed towards the backstage and the back of the set. Very amused Stéphane Rotenberg says to him:
“It's not there Pol-Henri, you made the wrong entry. It is over there. It's normal, it's a first..."
The young 25-year-old chef, consultant and executive chef of all the establishments of two-star chef Yves Mattagne, then justifies himself:
"And me, I'm never came here! »
This is, in fact, the first event in which he competes on the show. In the background, we hear the voice of director Stéphane Zibi saying:
“No problem! »
Arnaud, for his part, does not hide his astonishment and does not fail to taunt his sidekick about this error:
“Is this the first time you are watching “Top Chef” or what? »
, he laughs.

In the interest of fairness, the counters are reset to zero and Stéphane Rotenberg starts the test again. The two candidates then cook for an hour. If Arnaud decides to make a rather classic dessert, combining citrus fruits and butternut, “Popol” takes more risks by offering a crème brûlée lasagna made with vanilla, tomato and basil. If the jurors are unanimous on its combination of flavors, they are concerned about the cream itself, the cooking of which turns out to be unsuccessful. Arnaud is therefore saved and Pol-Henri eliminated from the competition. He ends up in the “Hidden Brigade” led by Pierre Gagnaire but does not succeed in saving himself either. He is leaving the show for good.
