'This year's Atlantic hurricane season will be explosive' - Green & Blue

This year's hurricane season in the Atlantic will be "explosive".


    According to AccuWeather meteorologists, there is the possibility of a record number of storms arriving: from June to November a "supercharged" season of at least 25 storms, with about ten hurricanes, is preparing, far more violent than a typical year, which records an average of 14 storms.


    “The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season is expected to be well above historical averages in the number of tropical storms, hurricanes, major hurricanes and direct-impact hurricanes in the United States,” said Alex DaSilva, AccuWeather's chief hurricane forecaster.
