There is another arrest after the murder of a 15-year-old in Cologne. On Thursday morning (March 28th), a 20-year-old man from Cologne was arrested by the police in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria around 7 a.m. An arrest warrant had previously been issued against him for common murder. “The accused is accused of killing a 15-year-old in the Cologne district of Mülheim on Sunday (March 10) with three men (18, 20, 26) who had already been arrested,” the investigators said. The 20-year-old is said to have been staying privately in Bavaria. He is scheduled to be brought before a judge today.

“A possible motive for the crime is currently that the person who was later killed had incriminated one of the accused with his statement in a juvenile criminal case recently heard at the Cologne District Court,” said senior public prosecutor Ulrich Bremer a few days after the crime.
The men are said to have initially kidnapped the teenager with the reservation of a weapon and then killed him at the Mülheim harbor. It is not yet known which of them is supposed to be involved in the crime and how exactly.

Three days after the murder of a 15-year-old in Cologne-Mülheim (Cologne Mülheim district), special police forces in Remscheid arrested a 26-year-old wanted with an international arrest warrant on Wednesday morning. He is said to have been involved in the murder. “The accused is accused of killing a 15-year-old in the Cologne district of Mülheim on Sunday (March 10) with two men (18, 20) who had already been arrested,” the police and public prosecutor’s office said in a joint statement.
According to investigators, the 26-year-old was able to be located thanks to a tip from a witness. After the teenager's body was discovered on Sunday (March 10) on the Rhine in Cologne, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for common murder against the man and the other two men. According to investigators, further details cannot be provided due to the ongoing investigation.

The body showed “traces of violence,” police and prosecutors said a few hours after it was found on the Rhine. The exact background is currently unclear. But: Just hours before the gruesome discovery, there was said to be an argument between the 15-year-old and two other men.

The dead teenager was discovered by police officers around 8 a.m. on Sunday morning on a headland at Mülheim Harbor (Cologne-Mülheim district), which opened in 1880 and is still in operation today. It is currently not known whether the young person was already missing or whether the police assumed an act of violence and deliberately searched for the young person at the location.
One thing is clear: “Officers had already arrested two suspects,” said the police and the Cologne public prosecutor on Sunday. These are said to be two men who are said to have had an argument with the former victim. “According to witnesses, at around 1:40 a.m. there was a confrontation between three people involved in front of a restaurant on Danzierstrasse for reasons that are still unclear. “As a result, two young men there forced a third person, possibly the 15-year-old, to come with them using threats of violence,” it continues.

The police and public prosecutor's office have not yet provided any further details. It is also currently unknown to what extent the 15-year-old dead man and the two men are in a relationship with each other. A murder squad was set up and the two suspects were arrested. The 18-year-old and the 20-year-old are to be brought before a magistrate in North Rhine-Westphalia on Monday.
This checks “whether the suspicion is sufficient to obtain arrest warrants from the court against the accused for a homicide,” explains senior public prosecutor Ulrich Bremer when asked by 24RHEIN. Further information will be provided later in the day, said Bremer.
