On February 29, the leaders of the majority met for dinner at the Élysée around Emmanuel Macron. After following the first 8 p.m. of the head of the list, Valérie Hayer, on Stéphane Séjourné's phone, they discuss strategy for the European elections on June 9. “I will get personally involved,” the head of state informed his guests. And he doesn't plan to be the only one.
That evening, according to our information, Emmanuel Macron expressed his desire to see the leaders of the majority parties appear "at the tail of the comet" on the list of the presidential camp... A scenario which could gain ground. Clearly, the president of MoDem, François Bayrou, and that of Horizons, Édouard Philippe, or even the secretary general of Renaissance (at least in his case), Stéphane Séjourné, are taking on a non-eligible position.
