On Wednesday morning, the double-decker Flixbus left the road, crossed a grass verge and finally overturned. Police reported four deaths, six seriously injured and 29 slightly injured. There was no information on the health status of the injured on Thursday morning.

reports at least five deaths. Up to 50 other people are said to have been injured in the accident - all clinics in the region have been informed. The clinic staff is preparing shock rooms and operating rooms for the injured. “The teams are standing by and the shock rooms are also prepared,” emphasized Tina Mühlbauer, spokeswoman for the Helios Clinic Schkeuditz, to the newspaper.

There are currently four rescue helicopters and numerous ambulances in use. The road in the direction of Munich is completely closed. Motorists were asked to keep an emergency lane clear.
