Ukraine is revolutionizing its own warfare with new drones. But Putin has an answer - Kiev is responding with renewed innovation.
Kiev – Ukraine has been able to revolutionize modern warfare through its innovative use of drones. Against tanks, ships and for reconnaissance, the unmanned flying objects prove to be a cost-effective solution to gain advantages against the enemy. But Vladimir Putin also adapted it. A US general is now explaining how Kiev is once again shining through innovation against Russian drones. A new type of defense system against terror from the sky is making things difficult for Putin in the Ukraine war.
Ukrainian drone defense against Putin – cell phones and microphones cost-efficient and effective
“They grabbed 8,000 cell phones, attached them to a six-foot pole and placed them all over Ukraine, putting a microphone right next to them so they could hear the drones flying overhead,” said senior James Hecker US Air Force military officer in an interview with the

. This method of tracking the drones is extremely cost-efficient and effective.

For $500 each, the general said, enemy drones could be tracked. After locating the unmanned flying objects, anti-aircraft artillery would have made short work of the attackers. This new type of tracking makes it possible to dispense with the Americans' expensive Patriot missiles.

For a long time, Ukraine was able to score points against the Russian invaders with its drones. Now Putin's army also appears to be implementing more and more drones in its war of conquest against Kiev. At the beginning of the conflict with Russia, Kiev relied primarily on large, heavy drones such as the Turkish TB2 Bayraktar. But as Russia advanced into Ukrainian territory, Putin's army was able to neutralize more and more of these drones.

Drones can quickly turn the tide of war. They are easy to use, very deadly, small and cheap to produce. The time from identifying a target to executing an attack has also been drastically reduced through the implementation of drones.
