The Plattlerkinder from the D'Neureuther Gmund traditional costume club took part in the children's quiz show “1, 2 or 3”. In the interview they talk about their TV appearance.

Gmund

- In November 2023, Plattlerkinder from the D'Neureuther costume association from Gmund were able to take part in the children's quiz show "1, 2 or 3", which is recorded for ZDF, KiKA and ORF in the Bavaria Filmstudios in Munich, twice. Neureuther youth leader Regina Bammer applied for her protégés and was selected. 34 Gmund children took on the role of audience at the recordings on November 20th and 23rd, which is not a silent but an active role. Josepha Eibach (11) and Romy Dießl (12) were there. In the run-up to the first broadcast on Easter Sunday (on KiKA), the two friends report on their television show experience with presenter Elton and mascot Piet Flosse, the seal.

Hello Josepha, hello Romy! How was your visit to “1, 2 or 3”? Exciting?

Josepha:

Yes, yes. But only after we had seen the film site and had a snack in the tent. That was very relaxed. But after that, we went to the recording studio.

Romy:

Yes, the production manager explained to us when we should clap, when we should stand up and when we should cheer. Sometimes we should stomp on a sign. We rehearsed this for about half an hour beforehand.

Josepha:

And they said there would only be three rows of spectators. Why we will often be in the picture and also how we should behave there.

How should you behave?

Romy

: We should be part of the show...

Josepha

: ...well, smile, but don't wave at the camera or anything like that.

And after the briefing?

Romy:

Elton and Piet Flosse came. They really made a nice impression. Elton ran past us and hit the ground and Piet waddled behind.

Where were the candidate children from?

Josepha:

That was different for the two recordings. Our candidates came from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The others from Germany, Austria and Poland.

Romy:

One time the topic was “martial arts” and the other “party”. About ten questions were asked on a topic. And for each correct answer, the children received a white ball that they had to throw into a funnel.

Josepha:

We were allowed to guess and were even supposed to call in.

Have you done that?

Romy:

Sure! They had told us beforehand that we could make the wrong call and put them on the wrong track.

And? Did you also say it wrong?

Romy:

Yes, of course we did that too. We were for Germany and were excited for the three of them. At the end, when the winners received the trophies and prizes and Piet Flosse threw the confetti, we clapped for everyone.

What did you liked the most?

Josepha:

I thought it was cool that you could jump to question fields. But you were also able to answer questions from the audience.

Romy:

I knew them all...

Would you like to take part again? Maybe as candidates who can hop onto the fields?

Josepha:

Immediately. Now that we know how things work, we would also apply as a rate team.

Romy

: I would like to apply to be a camera child. That's definitely cool too.

Are you excited when it first airs?

Josepha:

Quite a bit. This will definitely be exciting.

Romy:

Maybe you'll get used to it? Each program is not only broadcast twice, you can also stream us in the ZDF media library – as often as you want.
