Two
thieves disguised as plumbers
robbed the seventh floor of a building in the center of the city of Córdoba this Thursday, but the Police surrounded them. In the escape attempt, one of them, desperate,
threw some pillows into an internal patio and jumped from the balcony
. Despite the intention to cushion the fall, he suffered serious injuries and
died
a few hours later.
This Thursday morning, the thieves
presented themselves as plumbers
in the apartment of a
92-year-old woman
who at that time was with her caregiver, located on the corner of Cañada and 9 de Julio, Córdoba Capital.
Armed with a 22 caliber Bersa pistol, they soon entered the apartment, where they attacked and tied up the elderly woman. Although they also overpowered the caretaker,
the woman managed to escape and notify the person in charge of the building about the robbery
. They called the Police, who quickly arrived at the scene and surrounded the criminals.

. Although he tried to cushion the fall, he suffered serious injuries and died almost four hours later at the Córdoba Emergency Hospital.

The other thief, 33 years old,
also tried to escape by descending through the balconies of the building
. But the Police found him red-handed and waited for him on the sidewalk. The scene was recorded on video.
According to local media, the victim did not suffer serious injuries and
was able to recover the 70,000 pesos that had been stolen from him
