A fake expert with a farting plant disrupted the live broadcast “We in Bavaria” on BR. The next turning point followed.
Munich - Would you have recognized her? The make-up artist team from “Do you understand fun?” seems to have given everything to prepare Barbara Schöneberger (50) for her use as a decoy. This led her to the BR magazine “We in Bavaria”. A live broadcast! The prank is for the “Do you understand fun?” show on Saturday evening (March 30th) from 8:15 p.m. on the first.

And it goes like this: On Shrove Tuesday (February 13th) Schöneberger - as we have already reported - took on the role of the renowned botany professor Dr. Racer hatched. The announcement from the agency responsible for “Do you understand fun?” says: “It is paying a visit to the BR magazine 'We in Bavaria' to serve presenter Dominik Pöll a purely plant-based bait. This is how Dr. Renner, with the friendly support of BR garden expert Andreas Modery, knows that the carnivorous plant she brought with her, which she has been nurturing and caring for for 40 years and which supposedly only blooms every 20 years, will bloom during the broadcast time.

The victim of the joke is presenter Dominik Pöll (52). He actually believes in an impending scientific sensation, according to the announcement. The fake expert shakes up the popular BR show before the next turning point occurs - and Pöll learns that he is dealing with a colleague in disguise.

What the whole thing looks like can already be admired in the BR media library: The fake expert's appearance was broadcast live on February 13th. It starts at minute 39 at this link. The fake Dr. rumbles loudly and scatterbrained. Hit the studio. It also becomes apparent that Pöll already seems to suspect that something is wrong. He doesn't seem to take the quirky expert and her farting (!) plant seriously right from the start and can't stop laughing. “Does it like cake?” he asks about the plant. “It’s a mixture of an animal and a plant,” explains Schöneberger, alias Dr. Top seller – hence the flatulence on this good piece.

Nothing more should be spoiled at first - apart from the resolution. Because at some point the plant starts to speak: “Welcome to 'Do you understand fun?'. And of course there is a lot of laughter from Pöll & Co. “That’s not true,” says the moderator. But he probably already suspected that something was wrong and that things could go in this direction. Schöneberger himself also became a victim for the new show - in a film with Thomas Gottschalk. And Beatrice Egli was transported to a scary house.
