Climate concerns encourage people to curb air travel, but fortunately food from the other side of the world is more than ever within our reach. In this area, Paris continues to surprise. “We are witnessing a rise in new fast food concepts based on cuisines from elsewhere,” observes Bernard Boutboul, president of the consulting company Gira, specializing in out-of-home catering.
Enough to delight Generation Z, comprising teenagers and those under 25 “eager to travel through the plate in Instagrammable establishments”… But not only that. There are many Parisians of all ages who have already succumbed to the Korean fried chicken of Bonchon, the Portuguese specialties of Silvana, the haute couture hummus of Chiche or Gros Bao and its delicious filled brioches.
