This year, we will (almost) be able to surf on Lake Geneva. At least by going to discover the new Patek Philippe “Haut Artisanat 2024” collection in its historic building on rue du Rhône, in Geneva. This is where fans of fine watches will be able to admire a Calatrava ref. 5089G-129 “On the beach”, with a wooden marquetry dial depicting a surfer waiting for the wave on a California beach. To create this limited series of ten copies, the marquetry craftsman had to cut and assemble a total of 100 pieces and 75 tiny wood inlays representing 23 species with varied colors, textures and veins.
This is just one of the 82 timepieces and clocks that will be presented as part of this ephemeral exhibition from the “Haut Artisanat 2024” collection: 27 Dôme clocks and mini-clocks, three table clocks, nine luxury watches. pocket and 43 wristwatches. On site, artisan engravers and enamellers will demonstrate their know-how to visitors: wood micromarquetry, enamels on Longwy earthenware, Grand Feu cloisonné enamel, miniature painting on enamel, grisaille enamel... Visitors will also be welcomed by an exceptional set of twelve Calatrava wristwatches with dials in grisaille enamel in Limoges white, cloisonné enamel and paillonné enamel representing the constellations linked to the signs of the zodiac.

The lake side lounge will bring together pieces highlighting the beauties of nature – flora, fauna, gardens of the world, spa towns – in very refined settings, as on the pocket watch reference 995/143G-001 “Portrait of an egret white”, with very fine wood marquetry. The show on the rue du Rhône side will honor the great legends of human adventure (arts, traditions, sport), including a set of pieces dedicated to surfing, including the Calatrava wristwatch reference 5089G-129 “On the beach”, with portrait of a surfer in wood marquetry.

The “Haut Artisanat 2024” exhibition will be open to the public from April 13 to 27, 2024 in the Patek Philippe Salons in Geneva, at 41 rue du Rhône, every day (except Sunday), from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. ( last entry at 5 p.m.).
