The labor market in the district is stable and the demand for skilled workers and workers remains high. This emerges from the labor market report from the Rosenheim Employment Agency.

District - According to this, 9,130 people are currently unemployed in their entire area of responsibility. That is 820 more unemployed than in March 2023, but with a rate of 2.9 percent there is still full employment.

In the Miesbach district, 1,619 citizens are registered as unemployed, which corresponds to a rate of 2.9 percent. This means that it is significantly better off than the city of Rosenheim with an unemployment rate of 4.6 percent, but worse than the Rosenheim district (2.8 percent) and the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district (2.2 percent). More than half of the unemployed in the Miesbach district (55.5 percent) are men. Most of the unemployed here (47.4 percent) are 50 years of age and older.

Spring is currently having a positive effect on the job market in the agency sector, especially in weather-dependent sectors such as building and civil engineering, where there are 119 fewer unemployed people than in the winter months. The number of unemployed has also fallen in recent weeks in horticulture (minus 118) and in hotels and restaurants (minus 43). The spring recovery is most evident in the Rosenheim district with 232 fewer unemployed people, followed by the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district (minus 122), the city of Rosenheim (minus 119) and the Miesbach district with 78 fewer unemployed people.

According to the report, there is also a decline in the number of unemployed in sectors that are not affected by the weather. “Even though the economy has deteriorated a little and companies are sometimes more hesitant when it comes to hiring new employees, the job market remains stable,” says agency boss Nicole Cujai. The number of employees subject to social insurance contributions is at a high level of 204,770. Employment subject to social security contributions has recently even increased in the medical professions, childcare, IT and communication technology as well as in mechatronics, energy and electrical engineering. “These and other areas offer attractive opportunities for your future career,” says Cujai.
