Hohenbrunn
- The Hohenbrunn traffic police carried out an inter-agency priority check on the A99 on Maundy Thursday. Target: national and international transport of dangerous goods and waste.
In a press release, the VPI Hohenbrunn speaks of a “high complaint rate”. 30 heavy-duty vehicles were checked within four hours and there were 18 complaints. For example, significant violations of driving and rest times, load securing, massive speeding, technical defects and a total of seven dangerous goods violations were identified.
Over 7000 euros kept as security deposits
In addition to the Hohenbrunn traffic police, other emergency services from Munich, Rosenheim, Fürstenfeldbruck, the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) and the military police were involved in the control. The control forces withheld security deposits of over 7,000 euros on site and temporarily banned several vehicles from continuing their journey. In some cases, the transport was accompanied to shipping companies in the surrounding area in order to re-secure or reload the load.
