Storm Nelson continues to wreak havoc. Train traffic between Lyon, Grenoble and Chambéry was very disrupted this Friday morning following the fall of a tree on the tracks, which caused an electrical outage.
Although trains continue to run, particularly in Saint-Chamond and Saint-Hilaire, traffic remains very disrupted on the Lyon-Grenoble and Grenoble Chambéry lines. The SNCF indicated that it had sent a team to the site and warned that traffic would not return to normal before 12 p.m.

Since Thursday, the Nelson meteorological depression has caused severe disturbances, with violent winds in the West. Gusts of up to 110 km/h inland and 130 km/h on the coast this Thursday. Pointe du Raz even recorded, twice this morning around 8:30 a.m., peaks of 183 km/h, not far from the record of 207 km/h recorded during storm Ciaran last November. A storm of rare intensity for the season.
Thursday morning, several trains had been canceled, notably on the line between Lorient and Quimper. Delays were also noted between Quimper and Rennes.
