The architect Yaron Eldad surprises again and again. Its design is sculptural and precise, it does not define itself as trendy, but one that creates and adapts space for people. Eldad, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at Tel Aviv University, is married to actress, creator and content writer Ofari Friskolnik and they have 3 children.
From his home in Sharon, he arrives every morning to his boutique office in Florentine, which has been in existence for 14 years, with a team of 4 employees. He insists on the fascinating location, and the exact one for him. According to him, "There is something in the Florentine neighborhood that is an inspiration for me. Such an intermediate neighborhood, which develops and surprises, with a wonderful authenticity that intrigues me."
Eldad says that "Architecture attracted me from a young age in all its aspects. A profession that includes many layers: art, technical knowledge, spatial vision and a lot of creativity. What attracted me to the profession is that we create spaces for people. It's not like painting on a canvas or a sculpture, This is a role that creates space for people to work, live, and have different uses. This is what fascinated me and attracted me to the profession, to be a creator."
His works, both in the private and business sectors, are different in the architectural landscape. "I try to decipher a project in a way that is less accepted, new, different and a little underground. For example, a project he is working on in Costa Rica, here the underground is reflected in the material and color. The whole house is made of black iron, which brings in the landscape in its special way. These days he is working on an office, that instead of the office rooms being suspended from the ceiling. The company is engaged in the field of construction, so the project is characterized by suspended work rooms, which challenge the force of gravity."
At the beginning of his career, he even wanted to be a tattooist. For him it is like a painter who paints on the body. "I got over it and it's a good thing," he testifies to himself. Immediately after the military service, the profession of architecture took shape. As a fourth-year student and at the same time a night life person, he began to design, of course, bars and clubs, which are mainly interior design. Since he realized that architecture and interior design together beckon him, he decided it was time to step up. However, the night life is still embedded in "I believe in him".
According to him, "In my works, the nocturnal, slightly dark, and industrial style is evident. A style that brings touches of nightlife into spaces, but with a precise and balanced plan that combines design with practice and warmth in the space. It was not for nothing that Florentine was chosen as the natural work environment for me."
Beyond architecture, he invests valuable time in his great love since childhood - surfing. For surfing is not a sport, it is a way of life, it is a complete lifestyle, language and clothing. Love that his 14-year-old eldest daughter was also swept away and she is also a surfing instructor. In his search for the perfect wave, he has been to Costa Rica, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and the other hand.
