“Jean-Pierre, I think you want to tell us about one of your neighbors.”
Tuesday, and like every day,
Pascal Praud
chatted with a listener on Europe 1. The conversation began and then drifted around the CNews star's abilities to drive and park his vehicle.
“It’s because you work on TV, on the radio, that you think you have to park your nice car – I’m not kidding – just anyhow,”
denounces the mysterious listener with a Southern accent. The host didn't know it yet but it was
Julien Courbet
on the line.
“So there, you are inflated because I am always cycling in La Baule
,” defends the host of Europe 1
.
His interlocutor insists and develops his fictitious discontent:
“Listen, once or twice, (...) I had given you a word, I would have liked to at least be called back,”
he insists.
“It’s all well and good to give lessons, but afterwards, in reality, we realize that it’s not always the same thing.”
Pascal Praud, frustrated, ends up doubting his listener:
“No, but that’s a joke, I think there’s someone calling but I don’t know who!”
A few seconds later, “Jean-Pierre” reveals his identity.
“I’m going to introduce myself now, sir. It’s Julien Courbet, sir!”
“
You are the best of your generation”

The trapped presenter then enthusiastically welcomes his competitor:
“Julien Courbet! But you are excellent!”
Pascal Praud would like to point out that he never misses his slots on public roads
. “No, but wait, I park well and everything,”
he says, laughing. He continues by complimenting the
RTL
host : “
Everything is fine, I say everywhere that you are one of the best hosts, you are the best of your generation, it’s true, you are so talented.”
This joke by Julien Courbet, typical of discord between neighbors, makes sense. Indeed, the show on April 16 welcomed Hervé Pouchol, negotiator in Julien Courbet's shows, for the release of his book
The Neighbors' War
. News also covered the same evening in “Arnaques”, Julien Courbet's show on M6.
