Pulheim – “Bares für Rares” is one of the most popular shows on German TV and regularly gives ZDF dream ratings. This is not least due to the dealers who have taken the audience's hearts by storm. While some people obediently follow all the rules on set, one person steps out of line: Walter Lehnertz (57) does his own thing when it comes to a certain thing.

It is well known that there are strict rules on the “Cash for Rares” set. Because the production team wants to ensure that there are no agreements between the experts and the dealers. Everything else during filming is extremely professional - everyone in front of the camera goes into their make-up and dressing room before each recording. But really for everyone? No! While his colleague Fabian Kahl (32) obediently lets himself be powdered, Waldi refuses to go to the stylists.

“Waldi has to put on make-up now and then we’ll go to the dressing room. But not here. Waldi does it in a jealous way,” the art dealer announces in a backstage episode of “Bares für Rares”. In the dealer's room he unpacks a basket with a few make-up utensils. “Waldi doesn’t need all this bohei with cream and so on,” he clarifies and begins to powder his face with a thick brush.

It quickly becomes clear to the viewer that this is not the first time the man from the Eifel has picked up a brush. He knows exactly what is most important when doing make-up. “The nose always has to be heavily powdered and the rest goes like this,” the 57-year-old explains to the audience. Then he's done - because Waldi is absolutely not vain. Quite the opposite. He is completely satisfied with the natural result. “I’m just a force of nature,” he says.
In the dressing room, Waldi then notices: After losing weight, the clothes no longer fit as tight as usual. And the “Cash for Rares” star is not the only one who has lost a lot of weight. These stars have really lost weight – and have had a real transformation.
