Highlights: Around 60 visitors came to the citizens' meeting in Bad Tölz. There was some interesting news about the hotel plans on Bockschützstrasse. Many questions were directed at Mayor Ingo Mehner. The major projects Josefistift, Postquartier, Maxlweiher, Moraltareal, and Kurhaus expansion are all well known. The city's housing plans on Arzbacher Strasse have to be redrafted because of complaining neighbors and a ruling by the Federal Administrative Court against accelerated development plans procedures. Mehner also brought up the topic of asylum. The listeners followed Mehner's tour de force - also at the pace of the lecture - through the T lz topics. He criticized the injustice of T lz and said: "There's music in there.'' Two stiff doors at the library and at the parking garage are causing problems for Dieter Höflich and Sabine Iblherr. Inge Hake would like to be able to use the Tölz beach volleyball courts in the evening at 7 p.m. Franz Xaver Sailer wanted a speed limit of 30 km/h on Eichmühlstrasse. Ingo Mehner assigned responsibility to vandals and hooligans who repeatedly caused considerable pollution of the sandy areas. “There are far too few volunteers for something like this,” said Mehner, who suggested a volunteer security guard in TöLz. “This is the only way we have a clear responsibility” explained Fürstberger, who said there will be replanting of the chestnut tree at Frauenfreithof. The building authority chief explained that the focus is on perennial and native plants, that is more sustainable.. The meeting was also held to discuss cycling in the city.

Around 60 visitors came to the citizens' meeting in Bad Tölz. There was some interesting news about the hotel plans on Bockschützstrasse. Many questions were directed at Mayor Ingo Mehner.

Bad Tölz

– The most interesting news was not announced by Mayor Ingo Mehner in his 70-minute annual report. Spa director Brita Hohenreiter answered a question from Richard Haas at the citizens' meeting about what was happening with the hotel project on Bockschützstrasse.

Hotel project in Bad Tölz should soon be ready for signing

The project was slowed down by Corona, inflation and rising interest rates, in short, shaky financing, said Hohenreiter. “The developers had to think again.” But the result of the thought process is hopeful, says Hohenreiter: “We hope that we will have contracts ready to be signed by the end of the year.”

Otherwise: around 60 citizens were spread out loosely around the Kurhaus. Plus some city councilors and city hall employees. So the attendance was rather mediocre. The listeners followed Mehner's tour de force - also at the pace of the lecture - through the Tölz topics. Mehner was pleased that the city (utilities) had long anticipated a nationwide trend with their local heating network and now have huge demand. “There’s music in there.” The major projects Josefistift, Postquartier (“I’m looking to the future”), Maxlweiher, Moraltareal, “Campus Tölz”, “Bespielbare Stadt” and Kurhaus expansion – all well known.

Residential building plans on Arzbacher Straße have been redesigned

Not uninteresting: The city's housing plans on Arzbacher Strasse have to be redrafted because of complaining neighbors and a ruling by the Federal Administrative Court against accelerated development plan procedures. Lawyer Mehner was angry: “This ruling only brings additional effort and costs.”

Of course, Mehner also brought up the topic of asylum. He criticized the injustice of Tölz taking in more than twice as many asylum seekers and refugees as it should and doing much more than other municipalities in the district. That's why people complained when the district office on Isarleitenweg signaled the construction of another shared accommodation. A lawsuit that will probably not be decided for years.

Residents of Isarleitenweg did not come to the citizens' meeting

Residents from Isarleitenweg were apparently not present, otherwise a completely different tone might have prevailed at the citizens' meeting. The deputy district administrator was able to thank Thomas Holz “warmly” for the far disproportionate number of refugees. There are currently 3,177 people in the district (1,662 asylum seekers, 1,515 Ukraine refugees). An additional 100 people would be assigned each month. Tölz has currently recorded 939. Holz assigned responsibility to federal politics. According to Holz, “I understand well” that Tölz feels treated unfairly.

Where are the citizens of Tölz hurting? For example at the train station. There were several inquiries about this, for example from Corinna Eck. “We would buy it immediately,” replied Mehner and reported on an offer last year that was unfortunately rejected by the owner. Property has a high value in German law. Using coercion is difficult.

Questions about Alpamare and foyer areas

Problematic real estate, second part: Richard Haas also wanted to know what would happen next with the Wandelhalle and the Alpamare areas. The mayor could only ask for patience. The administrative court had already ruled in favor of the city regarding the Wandelhalle area and that there was no building law, as Jod AG wanted. In the Alpamare area too, we have to wait “until everything has been judged”. But that could take even longer.

Two stiff doors at the library and at the parking garage are causing problems for Dieter Höflich and Sabine Iblherr. It would be difficult to convert the listed library, explained treasurer Silke Furmanek. If necessary, you have to wait for the library employees. Unfortunately, the fire doors on the parking garage cannot be replaced, explained building authority chief Christian Fürstberger. Iblherr had a long list of questions, some of which dealt with the Tölz flowering meadows and when to mow. As far as the selection of flowers is concerned, the focus is on perennial and native plants, answered Fürstberger. That is more sustainable.

Suggestion in the citizens' meeting: Security guard for Bad Tölz

On behalf of all working people, Inge Hake would like to be able to use the Tölz beach volleyball courts in the evening at 7 p.m. They are usually cordoned off. Ingo Mehner assigned responsibility to vandals and hooligans who repeatedly caused considerable pollution of the sandy areas. “It has to remain lockable.” As an interested user, you have to come to terms with the gymnastics club. “This is the only way we have a clear responsibility.”

Christine Leahy complained about the disproportionate deforestation in the city area. “There is always a reason for this and it is approved by the city tree inspector,” explained Fürstberger.

At the chestnut tree at Frauenfreithof, we had to act at short notice to accommodate a transformer station and supply lines. But there will be replanting. Robert P. Keller also suggested a volunteer security guard in Tölz. Mehner was not convinced: he heard little positive things from colleagues. Also: “There are far too few volunteers for something like this.”

Complaint about racing cyclists in Lettenholz

Gerhard Kurz criticized taxis and delivery services that use the pedestrian zone in the bathing area. That's why bollards are currently being put up again. Franz Xaver Sailer wanted a speed limit of 30 km/h on Eichmühlstrasse. Fürstberger gave little hope that this had already been checked negatively.

Ursula and Werner Scharf criticized the fact that the Flößerbrunnen continues to “rot” on the B472 bridge and is not installed at Amortplatz. “That was the city council’s decision,” said Mehner. Instead, he preferred a 3D city model in bronze.

Milosch Dryjanski disliked the fact that cyclists race quite recklessly on the sidewalks in Lettenholz. Mehner could only plead for mutual consideration. Edeltraud Schmid was annoyed about the bollards that had been removed, which turned a former dead end into a thoroughfare on Am Ellbach. In the past, the bollards were actually only arranged in accordance with traffic law during the construction phase of the apartment blocks opposite, said Fürstberger, and are now no longer necessary.

Manfred Plischke finally asked for accessibility at the bus stops. Ingo Mehner assured this. “We have this on our radar. But that only happens little by little.”
